How to Measure the Effectiveness of Your Content Marketing

23 January 2014, published by Pelin Tasel

A very helpful article about how to make your content marketing more effective. Through the article you should follow some steps:
1-Each content have different marketing goals. That’s why, ask what the content is trying to achieve and measure it accordingly. You should ask the right question to better measure your content’s effectiveness. For example you create a video whose marketing goal is brand awareness. In this case, you would measure the effectiveness of the video not by how many people come to your website and click “Buy Now” but how many people view the video and share it with their friends.
2- Use analytics and other tools to measure the success of your content. For example for the efficacy of content, you should measure number of views, page opens etc..to see “how many people are consuming the content” and you should measure the number of shares, likes, comments etc...to see “how many people are sharing and talking about the content”.
3-Track data over a long period of time and compare your content success against other contents with similar goals and adjust your content marketing strategies through the data.
